Board of Adjustment

Public Hearing

May 29, 2007

Tuesday @ 5:30PM

City Council Chambers

The Board of Adjustment was called to order by Jon Nevala.

Present:            Nevala, Hiltunen (filling in for Abrahamson)

            Also Present:    Kotzian.

            Absent: Broten.

Visitors:            Ken Hinkel, Ron Abrahamson Sr., Adam Masloski.

The purpose of the hearing was to solicit comments on a variance request from Ken Hinkel described as follows: A variance in Block 28, Lots 9, 10, 11, 12, 13.  His request includes a 25 foot setback from North Second Street rather than 30 feet; a 5 foot setback from Pine Street rather than 15 feet; and a 7 foot setback from the platted alley rather than 10 feet.   The reason for the setback reductions is to construct a Senior Housing Facility.

Public input:      Ron Abrahamson Sr., 204 Pine Street, said that he had "no problem" with the request.

Motion by Hiltunen supported by Nevala to approve the variance request from Ken Hinkel.  All yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Nevala supported by Hiltunen to adjourn.  Time:  5:40PM

Respectfully submitted,

Timothy L. Kotzian
